A heads up for those of you traveling to Seoul.

For those of you traveling to Seoul anytime soon, here are a few pointers.

Bring a video player for your kids...

Get the name stamp and scroll for your newly adopted child.

And try some real Korean food.

Oh, and bring your carrier, you won't regret it.

If you visit Lotte World, visit Toys 'R' Us.

Our trip to Seoul, Korea 2011 - The short version.

We took a night-time flight which seemed to work well for us as Tae slept for most of the flight. Loved eating Bi-bim-bop for the meal, and watched a movie or two.

Thoroughly enjoyed our hotel room, I was a bit worried that I had not seen the place before, but the kitchenette and washer/dryer came in handy.

We found so many more places close by, like a grocery store. This helped with our meal costs and it was fun to try the Korean variety of food.

There was plenty of space to hang out, eat a meal, store our luggage, and all of us to sleep. This couch was Tae's bed at night.

One of our stops was Namdaemun Market, a must see in Seoul. This stop was after hiking up all the steps to the Seoul Tower. Note: We do NOT recommending hiking up all those steps with a 3 yr old in tow.

Then we finally got to meet Jeehoon. He was hesitant at first, but slowly he warmed up to us. Within the hour he was sitting in Troy's lap.

Our second visit went even better.

And our final visit was smooth sailing. A short van ride around the block, a nap in the room, and then a Barney video on the video player.

Our final day we took a walk to the local park.

At the airport Tae was checking with Jeehoon to make sure he was ready for the big trip.

We boarded for a 12 hour plane ride home. On our flight home they slept, ate, and slept again. Once both boys were up they got anxious to get off the plane and get home.

Spring fever!

For those of you who are near Wisconsin, you are well aware that mother nature is playing a prank on us. We are suffering from snow overload with the latest snow/thunder storm we had yesterday.

Rumor has it that spring is close, but I will believe it when I see it. Here is a photo of Tae waiting for spring, along with his best buds.

Welcome to my first post.

We arrived home with our son Tae on May of 2010. We offically became a family Nov. 2010. He is such a blessing, full of energy and all around a very happy child. We have had our trials with the adoption process, however, we truly believe that everything happens for a reason. We moved just after arriving home with Tae. We love our new smaller home and the unique city we live in.

Currently we are in the process of adopting our second son from South Korea. Feb. 2011 we accepted a referal for a boy named Jeehoon, he is just over a year old. Our paperwork is well on its way to completion, with our I600A approval just this past week.

I will be traveling to South Korea this time with my dad. I am looking forward to returning to South Korea, as I cannot get enough of the food and culturural experience. We are praying for our travel call before the end of June 2011!!!!
